Your own home infrared sauna? What do you think about when you think of a sauna? Is it men and women sitting around a room filled with steam, surrounded by wood paneling and everyone sitting silently wrapped in towels? I think that is the typical vision of most.
Traditional saunas are very hot, some being a dry heat and others steamy with water doused over the some heated stones or other device. There is something more…now there are infrared saunas that warm you without heating the air. With so much awareness on health and beauty, the infrared sauna should be given some consideration.
How does a home Infrared Sauna work? Infrared saunas emit long, infrared wave-lengths, that penetrate the skin, and essentially provide you all the benefits the sun provides without any of the harmful UVA and UVB rays. Another important fact you should know is that the heat of an infrared sauna can penetrate deeper into your skin, than that of a traditional dry or wet sauna. This alone, can provide tremendous health benefits, and I am going to list five of them here for you.
Benefit #1 - Loss of Weight
Did you know that when it's hot, your body has to work hard to maintain its core temperature and this is done through sweating? Therefore, when you sweat, you are helping your body in losing weight. While inside infrared saunas you are burning calories while relaxing.
Benefit #2 - Detox Your Body
You hear everywhere about the environment being filled with toxins, the air we are breathing, the food we are eating and the water we are drinking. These pollutants will actually accumulate in our bodies and the best way to rid itself of these toxins is through sweat. The deep penetration a home Infrared sauna provides, will help to detoxify our body not only through the skin, but also at the cellular level. The body will be cleansed of many of the toxins that we absorb but also those that have been with us for a long time. These are toxins such as lead, alcohol, mercury, nicotine, sodium, and even cholesterol.
Benefit #3 - Healthy Cardiovascular System
Which would you rather have, a nice warm home infrared sauna, or……having your blood vessels dilated? Now I know you need to think about that one for a moment. Ok…that is what I thought, you choose the infrared saunas. Ok, next question for you…which one do you think will give your heart a better workout? Wow, right again, the sauna will actually make your heart work harder helping your blood pressure decrease and your blood flow to increase.
Benefit #4 - Pain?
We are talking about Pain Relief and what a way to get it. The body reacts positively to the deep penetration of the heat with relieving pain. This has helped so many who suffer from arthritis, muscle spasms, and even fibromyalgia. There are so many that would find needed relief caused by chronic painful conditions, and it seems the more sessions they have, the longer they have relief.
Benefit #5 - Keeping Youthful Skin
Our skin is our largest organ and truly something we want to take care of. But there comes a time that it seems to be our enemy, especially when it comes to aging. We have exposed our skin to the sun, to dirt and toxins, and all of these combined, can cause our skin to age prematurely.
Sweating, as I have mentioned earlier, is the body's natural way to cleanse the skin. The deep heat of the infrared sauna will bring these toxins out and while doing this, it helps to increase our blood flow, and it is the blood that brings to the skin the needed nutrients to keep it young and glowing. Think of the healing that can be generated for those who suffer from conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and even acne.
Well, there you have 5 wonderful benefits of your home infrared sauna and how it may not only help you to relax and regenerate your mind, but also regenerate your body. Once you have your infrared sauna, sit back, relax, and enjoy its health and relaxation benefits. Take care of yourself and in doing so, you will be benefiting your health and your skin. You owe it to yourself to at least to check out the Infrared Saunas (or infrared sauna dealers) and start counting 1 to 5, remembering the benefits I listed. Saunas are not just a "want", they are a "need" especially if you have any health issues and even if you don't, prevent them before they show up.
